Europe Day or Schuman Day
The Europe Day is celebrated in European Union for peace and unity, as a tribute to the Schuman Declaration on March 9th 1950.
“Europe will not be made all at once, or according to a single plan. It will be built through concrete achievements which first create a de facto solidarity. The coming together of the nations of Europe requires the elimination of the age-old opposition of France and Germany”
The European Student Council is committed in the celebration of the Europe Day, at school or wherever, always for for the promotion of the European Values in the high schools.
In 2017, during the Open Day at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the students of the European School of Strasbourg asked the visitors "What Europe means to you?". The volunteers could be photographed with their responses and the pictures were shared on the European Student Council Facebook page.
The activity was also shared with our partners in a Facebook Live.
In 2018, the students participating in the European Student Council project were invited t create a quiz about the European Institutions and the Construction of the European Union.
The two final quizzes have been created with Kahoot and played at the Lieu d'Europe (FB) and live during the Europe Day.
